I hope this isn't a lie. It doesn't matter to me if the tires were soft or hard, because i can feel the power of the car and know when it will brake loose. These were pro driver's. Hmm
You can feel the power when it is braking loose! First off the tires being hard don't transfer the signals of the road contact back to the steering wheel and sevearly dampen the suspension and road feel. As well as being so stiff that they dont grip or flex when they are that dry.and one very major problem was the driver who yes drove for allways evolving drove 90% of the time a ford mustang with frwd and the porshe is a merd layout wich is highly unstable at the limits of grip. The last is rotas drifted/moved over the lane dividers which is not painted but has 2" round raised pucks for lane deviders which at 70=90mph would have completely unsettled the tires/suspension so quickly that the spin happened so fast that it was unrecoverable! Jay leno spun the exactly same car on a banked oval with new performance R1 tires at only slighly higher speeds and slid over 280+ feet! The driver was driving a car with poor up keeping and exceeded not only the car's mechanical grip and was also driving just obove his limits and WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT THE CAR WAS TELLING HIM NOT TO DO! If you do not stay within your/cars limits people will continue to be hurt/die and more often than not the driver is not the only person/persons killed/hurt.
So far the best and most factual explanation. It's common sense people. Don't be a idiot and speed and race when there are speed limit signs. Keep the speed for the track
Paul Walkers daughter is sueing the car company
